Annual input data
Annual Data Requirements
The adopted CMP specification must replace this template with exact series and rules. Until then, this page lists the minimum information that must accompany the data used in each candidate test or trial annual calculation.
| Field | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Data-series name | Exact name used in the calculation |
| Provider | Responsible institution and contact point |
| Unit and scale | Including any thousands/millions convention |
| Spatial and fleet coverage | Exact area, fleet, and aggregation |
| Observation period | Months/seasons represented |
| Management-year cutoff | Latest acceptable receipt date |
| Revision status | Preliminary, revised, or final |
| Missing-data rule | Stop, carry forward, omit, or approved substitute |
| Transformation | Standardization, smoothing, averaging, or rescaling |
| Digital fingerprint | Checksum used to identify the exact saved file |
1 Checks to complete before calculation
- File structure: expected columns, names, years, and one value per expected record.
- Units: expected scale and any unit conversion.
- Completeness: required years and indices are present.
- Plausibility: changes outside documented bounds are flagged, not automatically corrected.
- Revision status: the source date and whether the data are preliminary or final are recorded.
- File identity: the digital fingerprint matches the file named in the calculation record.
Missing or revised data must follow the adopted specification. Analysts should not invent a replacement rule during the annual calculation.
